How to Grow Devil's-bit Scabious
Succisa pratensis
Succisa pratensis, the Devil's-bit Scabious, is a native British wildflower bearing rounded lilac-blue pincushion flower heads on slender stems in late summer and autumn. It thrives in any reasonable, not too fertile soil and is ideal for meadow plantings and wildflower gardens. An important nectar source for butterflies including the Marsh Fritillary. Tolerates moist conditions and partial shade.
