Gazania (Treasure Flower) is a half-hardy annual for the hottest, sunniest spot in the garden and poor, free-draining soil. Drought-tolerant South African native with large, boldly patterned daisy flowers. Flowers open only in sunshine — not ideal for shady or overcast gardens. Plant out after last frost. Needs very little feeding or watering once established. Deadhead for continuous blooms. Not frost-hardy; discard at season end or lift and overwinter frost-free.
