Cookies Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the service. We also use similar technologies like local storage to store small amounts of data in your browser.

How we use cookies

We group cookies and similar technologies into four categories:

  • Strictly necessary – Required for the site to function (authentication, security, storing your consent choices). Always on; no consent required.
  • Functional – Remember your preferences and provide enhanced features like customer support chat.
  • Analytics – Help us understand how visitors use Leaftide so we can improve the experience. Loaded only after consent.
  • Marketing – Used to measure advertising effectiveness and show relevant ads. Loaded only after consent.

Your choices

On your first visit, we ask for your consent for non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw consent at any time:

  • (opens the preferences panel)
  • Browser controls: you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

  • ph_attribution – Remembers how you found Leaftide (e.g., from an ad or referral link) to help us understand which channels work best.
  • PostHog persistence – Maintains your anonymous analytics ID across sessions.

Third-party services

Some features require third-party services that may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe – Secure payment processing. Required for subscriptions.
  • Google Sign-In – If you choose to sign in with Google, Google's authentication cookies are used.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging – For push notifications on mobile devices (opt-in only).
  • Sentry – Error tracking to help us fix bugs. Runs server-side and does not set cookies in your browser.

Legal basis

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Legitimate interests (site operation and security).
  • All other cookies: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Data location

Our analytics data is processed in the EU (PostHog EU data center). Marketing cookies from Google may involve data transfers to the US under Google's data protection terms.
